Family Testimonials

"Since coming to Mobius our sister has a life way beyond anything we thought possible. Her God given talents have been discovered and developed to the max – she has learned some basic math skills, has learned to cook basic things, has her own ATM card and managers her money (with some help), attends a community Zumba class and is making dolls. She is still learning some interpersonal skills and attends group sessions in addition to having a private counselor. Her contact with family is much greater than it used to be. We are very confident in the support our sister has, and continues to receive, because so many of her issues have been addressed and resolved in a very positive way. "

partnersUnited Way of Midcoast Maine
The United Way of Midcoast Maine has been a long time, critical supporter of the Mobius Summer Youth Employment Program. This program aims to provide youth ages 14 – 21, with varying disabilities, with their first “summer job” experience. A person’s first experience with paid employment is empowering and through on-the-job skill-building sets them up for future, long-term employment.

Program participants receive one-on-one job coaching and work alongside non-disabled peers. A person may identify a job they would like to try or receive support from an Employment Specialist to find a job.

In addition to receiving our services; those we serve also give back to the local community. We have 17 clients volunteering at various locations in Lincoln County. All together they provide approximately 50 hours per month of volunteered time. For some of these individuals Mobius provides paid staff support so they experience the greatest success possible.

Services are funded in part by the Department of Health and Human Services. Mobius serves children and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
